We created this site as an additional service for our new and existing farmers. Hopefully, you will find this information helpful as you make all your insurance decisions.  We will make updates and changes to this site periodically as the seasons change.  If there is any information that you would like to see posted on this site, please do not hesitate to contact us.

By now, you are full steam ahead in your preparations for 2009.  A few reminders as we get into the new insurance sales season:

• The deadline to take out new or make changes to your existing policy is March 15, 2009.  We are available for insurance checkups if you wish to discuss your options.  Call us to set up an appointment.
• Coverage options will go out to current insured by mail the 3rd week of February.  This is necessary so that we can make a close estimate on prices for all revenue products.  Corn price is figured using average of CBOT December futures during the month of February.  Soybean is average of CBOT November futures during the month of February.
• Please check out the New for 2009 tab.  We have highlighted some changes for your review.
• Important- If you think there is a chance you might pick up land in another county or produce a crop that you have not previously insured, we should add that to your insurance before March 15th.  It does not cost you anything to add this, and it may solve any potential problems at acreage reporting time. 
• Rebating is a very hot topic in our industry.  It is illegal for any insurance provider to offer you cash or premium reduction in exchange for your insurance business.  Additionally, it is illegal for any financial institution to imply that operating loan approval has anything to do with where you choose to have your crop insurance.
